NUC Approved Six New Courses For Babcock University

The National University Commission (NUC), the Federal Government of Nigeria agency responsible for the registration, establishment and regulation of standards in University has approved Babcock University, Ilisan Remo to commence teaching and awarding degrees in six new academic programmes.

The six new courses which will commence in the 2022/23 academic session are: Architecture, Estate Management, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering leading to the award of Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) on successful completion. 

The addition of the six (6) new courses is part of the success stories of the school management to grow the school especially in the area of the numbers of courses offered. The approved new courses will be housed in the newly created school of Environmental Studies and the School of Engineering  

This is the second time within a year the Babcock University will be approved by NUC to start new programmes. It should be recalled that the institution was granted an approval late last year (2021) to start running Open Distance and e-Learning programme in Nigeria, the development which make it the second and the only two private university to be so approve. 

Babcock University also get the approval of NUC to start awarding Postgraduate Diploma and Master's Degree in Social Work.
