The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) offers various engineering courses as listed on this page. Each of the courses have same JAMB and WAEC entry requirements, the only difference could be departmental.
While the Faculty of Engineering presently housed six (6) departments, offering six engineering courses, it could be more or fewer in the future depending on some factors which includes inability of the institution to get COREN accreditation which may force them to discontinue teaching such course/s.

- Electrical and Electronic Engineering

- Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture

- Agricultural Engineering
The engineering courses listed above lasted a minimum duration of five (5) years for those admitted through JAMB to 100 level, leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree on successful completion of a study.
Entry Requirements for O'Level Applicants
WAEC Subjects Combination
Five O'Level credit passes in:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language and one of
- Technical Drawing
- Applied Mathematics
- Biology/Agricultural Science
- Economics
- Geography
Not more than at two sitting from one or two of:
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- NECO/SSCE
- General Certificate of Education
JAMB Coordinated UTME
An O'Level applicant must write and make cut off mark (180) for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and as required by each of the Departments at the Faculty of Engineering at screenings.
JAMB Subjects Combination
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry and
- English Language
Entry Requirements Direct Entry Applicants
- Advance Level (GCE or JUPEB or IJMB or HSC): three passes in Mathematics, Physics and one other science subject.
- National Diploma (ND): upper credit in relevant engineering programmes.
- HND: lower credit in relevant engineering programmes plus.
- O'Level result as stated above.
Note: What is listed here represented the general entry requirements for the faculty of engineering, there could be a bit of difference from one department to another.
