The election make Mr. Sofiu Oyejide Ahmad, a Chief Accountant and the Head of Staff Matters Unit in the Bursary Section, of the prestigious University the 29th substantive chair of the district.
Mr Ahmad’s emergence in the 2023/2024 Chairmanship Election is in recognition his dedication to the body, his in-depth knowledge of professional accountancy and its regulations, as well as a career spanning over thirty-two (32) years in the civil service.
He will be officially inducted as Chairman of the organization along with other elected Executive Committee, 12noon, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Mr. Ahmad who qualified as a Chartered Accountant in November 2010 was admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute in May 2011. He was conferred with Fellow of the Institute in February 2022.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS congratulates Mr. Oyejide on his well-deserved appointment and wishes him a successful tenure.
