OAU Unveiled Mascot for 2023 West African Universities Games (WAUG)

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simeon Bamire, in company with the President of the West Africa Universities Sports Federation, Shaibu Tanko, unveiled the mascot for the 2023 West African Universities Games (WAUG) to be hosted in the University later in December 2023.

The unveiling was done as part of the media briefing to formally announce the games, which will feature over 200 Universities and sports such as table tennis, basketball, and athletics among others.

Speaking at the press conference, the Vice-Chancellor assured that plans have been perfected to ensure the safety and welfare of participants, and ensure that the games are hitch-free.
