The programme was formed to train graduate students with high moral and academic standards who are equipped with knowledge to tackle present and future challenges in the area of electrical and electronics engineering and that is the reason why state of art teaching and learning facilities and laboratories with well equipment are provided couple with curriculum that follows the National University Commission Benchmark for Academic Standard (BMAS).
Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Delta State University (DELSU) is a five years degree programme for the students given admisioyn through UTME at undergraduate level leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) on successful completion of the study.
The programme is fully accredited by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
JAMB/UTME (INDIRECT) Entry Requirements
Ordinary Level Subjects Requirements
To study Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Delta State University (DELSU) an applicant must have sat for and passed one or two of the following O'Level examinations.
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- General Certificate of Examination (GCE) O'Level and
- Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)
The applicant must have credit passes in at least five subjects which must include:
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Physics
- Chemistry and one other science subjects
- Biology
- Technical Drawing
- Further Mathematic.
JAMB/UTME Examination
The applicant must sit for JAMB coordinated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), making the required cut off mark:

Delta State University Post UTME
Having been successful in the JAMB/UTME, applicant must also participate in the DELSU post UTME and make the required scores for the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Delsu Pre-Degree Programme
Delta State University (DELSU) accept it's pre degree result to 100 level of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering, provided a student make the required scores and have necessary O/Level subjects combination
Direct Entry Requirements
These following qualifications are accepted to 200 level of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Delta State University.
- GCE Advance Level (A/L): two (2) good passes in Mathematic and Physics.
- National Diploma: Upper Credit in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or other relevant engineering programme from DELSU or other goverment approved institution
- NABTEB's National Technical Certificate (NTC) with Credits in relevant technical programme.
- JUPEB: Delta State University accept JUPEB result.
- Higher National Diploma (HND): applicant with HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with minimum bid Upper Credit may be considered for admission to 300 level of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at DELSU.
