Agricultural Engineering is different from Agricultural Science in that while the former study, design, develop and manage all form of agricultural machinery, equipment and tools for better farm produce and running of farm industries, the latter study and practice crop and livestock farming and production.
Agricultural engineers don't farm but they work to improve farmers' work by designing, developing and maintaining machines and tools which can make farming easy, increase quantity, quality and storage of farm produce at minimum cost. They work in team of other engineers and with farmers to achieve better results.
The Department of Agricultural Engineering at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) provides everything needed (qualified lecturers, laboratories, industrial training) to train their students to become.complete agricultural engineers.
