The list constitute the engineering courses approved and accredited for them by the National University Commission (NUC) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
- Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Food Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering and
- Material Science and Engineering
Each of the programmes above lasted for duration of five years after which Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering is awarded to successful students.
Admission Requirements
There are two ways by which an applicant can gain admission to study any of the above courses in as much as he satisfy the admission requirements.- Through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) this include Pre-degree programme which qualify students to be admitted into 100 level and
- Through Direct Entry, including JUPEB and IJMBE which qualifies students to be admitted to 200 level.
Indirect Entry (UTME)
- West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)/(NECO)
- General Certificate Examination (GCE)
A student must pass Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
UTME Subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
The must also pass the Kwara State University (KWASU) post UTME, making the required Cut-Off Mark for his chosen engineering programme.
Direct Entry Admission
Holders of the following results would be considered for an admission provided he make the minimum scores required
- GCE Advance Level (A/L)
- JUPEB
- IJMBE
- National Diploma and
- Higher National Diploma
It is also required of a student to pass one or two of the three examinations above before he could be considered for an admission by direct entry.
Note: KWASU MAY NO MORE BE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO STUDY AERONAUTIC AND ASTRONAUTICS ENGINEERING BECAUSE IN RECENT TIME IT DOESN'T APPEARS ON JAMB AMONG THE LIST OF UNIVERSITIES THAT OFFER THE PROGRAMME IN NIGERIA.
