ND Engineering Entry Requirements

To be considered for an admission to study for National Diploma (ND) Engineering at Polytechnic Ibadan an applicant must have minimum of Five O level credits in relevant subjects which must include:

  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • English Language
  • Chemistry and one other science related subjects or technical trade subjects 
The five O'level credit passes must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following examination qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary Certificate Education (SSCE)
  • West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) or 
  • National Technical Certificate 

Candidates must sit for and make the JAMB coordinated UTME cut off mark of 150

JAMB Subjects Combination:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics and 
  • English Language

Note: candidates must have chosen the Polytechnic Ibadan as their first choice or must be ready to change school if Poly Ibadan is not the first choice.


HND Engineering Entry Requirements

Five O'level result as required for ND programme

National Diploma (ND) in the same discipline with minimum of lower credit.

Evidence of one (1) year industrial training programme.

The Polytehnic Ibadan may consider those with pass in their ND results but with a minimum of two (2) years post ND industrial training
