The Higher Certificate qualification is awarded on programmes which are predominantly vocational in nature and because of this not on many courses is higher certificate qualification is awarded at TUT.
The curriculum for the programme is industrial oriented and so holders of the qualification are eligible to pursue higher qualifications such as diploma or advance diploma courses in same area of study if so desired.
