University of Benin (UNIBEN), Faculty of Engineering is teaching Civil Engineering to impart knowledge and skill needed to design, supervise, construct and maintain static structures useable for the convenience living of humanity.
Some of the modules the students will be taught toward building their confidence into the industry including but not limited to: Fluid mechanics. Structural mechanics, Data Analytics, Engineering Informatics, Engineering Statistics, Hydraulic, Digital Environment Building, Engineering Geology, Civil and Architectural engineering. Mineral and Statics, Transport Service, Water Treatment and Soil Mechanics.
A student admitted to 100 level at the Department of Civil Engineering, UNIBEN will spend at least five (5) years (10 semesters) to complete the undergraduate degree programme and he would be awarded Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering {BEng (Civil Engineering)}

Direct Entry Applicants
- General Certificate of Education (GCE A'Level): passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Higher National Diploma (HND): minimum of lower credit in relevant engineering/technology
- National Diploma (ND): Minimum of Upper Credit in relevant engineering and technology courses
- First Degree Holders: Minimum of Second Class Honour Degree in Structural Engineering, Geology, Pharmacy or Agriculture or other Sciences courses
- Petroleum Training Institute: HND/ND
- University of Benin (UNIBEN) Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other relevant engineering courses with Merit Pass or from other accredited universities with upper credit.
