Since the establishment of the school and before the creation of faculty of engineering was the civil engineering started. It pioneer engineering courses at UNILAG. The school faculty of engineering eventually took off in 1964 with Civil, Mechanical and Eletrical and Electronic Engineering and today the Faculty offer seven engineering programmes and they are listed below.
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering and
- Systems Engineering
All the engineering programmes run for the duration of five years (10 semesters) for post ordinary level (O/L) candidates and run for the duration of four or three years for post advance level (A/L) candidates leading to the award of a Bachelor of Science (BSc)
in Engineering.
